After showing devotion to Plums for 18 years, ardent fans can finally hear those three little words: Dinner is served. Yes, Plums Café isn’t just for daytime anymore.
When it comes to Pacific Northwest-inspired morning and midday fare, diners have long been sweet on this west side Costa Mesa strip-mall darling. At lunch and on weekends, they navigate the cramped parking lot, bent on hazelnut pancakes or smoked salmon hash or the much-beloved lamb burger.
Going to
the after-dark side is not a huge stretch for the popular kitchen. Owner and Oregon transplant Kim Jorgenson oversees a major catering operation that shares the café’s solid reputation. So last winter, she quietly launched the dinner service.
